Every year, flash floods occur in Alor Setar, Kedah when the tide rises but it often subsides not long after. However, many areas were heavily affected by the flooding this year as the rising tide hit during the rainy season. Tzu Chi volunteers in Kedah quickly mobilized to provide support and aid to the Dharma families and send food to the local residents.
