Tzu Chi cooperated with the founder of Nepal International Buddhist Society, Bhante Maitri, to build a dialysis centre at Bhante Maitri’s free clinic centre. Tzu Chi also assisted in improving the acupuncture clinic and toilets at this centre by building fences, sidewalks, etc. The environment at the centre had since been greatly improved. On 13th June 2022, Bhante Maitri invited the newly appointed Mayor of Lumbini to visit the centre. Thereby bringing medical benefits to the local villagers.
