A poor elderly lady, Baharachi Kurmi, has been living alone in a dilapidated house for a long time. Due to financial difficulties, the villagers were unable to repair her house, but they provided enough rice and food for her to self-sustain. Tzu Chi volunteer team launched a 'Betterment Project' connecting local villagers to emulate the spirit of mutual assistance. They built a special and simple house for this old destitute lady, allowing her to comfortably get through the cold winter and scorching sun from now on.
