Second Health Seminar: Raising villagers’ health awareness

One of Tzu Chi's initiatives in Lumbini is the planning of community healthcare, which includes organizing health lectures at the Madhubani Community Learning Center. Following the previous session on medical consultations for hypertension and proper handwashing techniques, the second lecture featured Dr. Bikesh from the Lumbini Health Center explaining the prevention and treatment of diabetes to the villagers. In addition, nurses from the Tzu Chi International Medical Association educated the villagers on the importance of personal hygiene. By bringing health knowledge from the health center to the community, the concept of prevention being better than cure is also implanted in the minds of the villagers.
