Food distribution helps increase local families income

Tzu Chi has relaunched its food distribution at Nepal International Buddhist Society free clinic in Lumbini. Simultaneously, the Family Income Enhancement Program was also launched. This program enables local families in need to increase their family income through food distribution. Five local women were invited to help with food preparations. Apart from that, twelve other local families which also benefited from this campaign included local merchants, trishaw riders and Tzu Chi care recipients. Such a job opportunity gave local families the possibility of increasing their income as well as hope to turn their poverty around in future.
