To celebrate the upcoming Mother's Day, Buddha Day and Tzu Chi Day, Tzu Chi volunteers will host a Buddha Bathing Ceremony this year at the Lumbini International Convention Center. To add dignity to the venue, volunteers from the Singapore Malaysia team generously donated their own lucite Buddha statues. Within a month, they had collected 50 lucite Buddha statues. The volunteers then transported these statues from northern and southern Malaysia and escorted them to Lumbini with devotion and solemnity. The lucite statues of the Great Enlightened One have profound significance. They remind everyone to remain as pure and untainted as lucite and to practice the Buddha's teachings in their words and actions.
