In celebration of Tzu Chi’s 57th anniversary, volunteers in Lumbini, Nepal held the first bowing pilgrimage, and chose to do it at Maya Devi Temple, where the Buddha was born in Lumbini Gardens. Volunteers are grateful to the Lumbini Development Bureau for their approval of the application, so that the Jing si disciples in Lumbini could have this great opportunity to chant the Buddha’s name in unison at the Buddha’s birthplace , prostrating every three steps, lowering their posture, with humility, respect and repent.
