Nepal experienced consecutive strong earthquakes at the beginning of this month. With official reports confirming 158 casualties. The affected regions are in remote areas, leaving many survivors without sufficient supplies. After negotiation with the government, Tzu Chi volunteers embarked on a 500-kilometre journey from Lumbini to a forward base in the disaster zone, Beri Municipality. This Tzu Chi team consists of volunteers from Singapore and Malaysia accompanied by a Nepalese doctor.
